REGIONAL NATURAL GAS PRICE FORMATION REPORT
Description and Benefits:
This new product from GELA allows access to natural gas price formation in several countries of Latin America in an updated manner. It starts with the prices at the well head and / or pipeline or LNG imports and then adds the associated transportation costs to the “City Gate” for each pipeline system. Finally, it reports the final average prices to different types of users per local distribution companies (LDC).
At the end of the Report GELA performs a descriptive and explanatory analysis of the price formation and issues a qualified opinion on future trends in prices and tariffs. As an example of how the Regional Report is to be presented, below GELA includes a sample for December 2017 gas formation prices in Brazil.
Natural gas prices are suffering a significant decoupling with oil prices globally. At the same time, Latin America is letting gas prices become less political and be traded in a more competitive and flexible market. Companies, governments, regulators, academics and institutions can benefit from this important Report that updates not only prices but its formation. Unique in Latin America.
