Managing Partner of GAS ENERGY LATIN AMERICA in Chile. Gabriel Bauza is an independent consultant in oil and gas. He graduated in Economics and Business Administration from the Catholic University of Chile, continuing his studies at the University of California at Berkeley, earning the degree of Master of Arts in Economics (1977). He was professor and researcher at the Institute of Economics of the Catholic University of Chile, going on later to work in the Chilean national oil company, Empresa Nacional del Petróleo (ENAP) in 1981. In ENAP he worked in market research, market intelligence and forecasting for over 34 years, ending his career as Director of the Commercial Studies & Analysis Department (2006-2015). He has been invited to expert panels in APEC, in the Chilean National Energy Commission and has been a consultant to the Chilean Ministry of Economics. He also has a long experience as lecturer on oil markets, both in ENAP and in graduate programs in universities.
